The Visitors

Polydor remastered CD 1997

2nd paragraph: "After the flurry of activity surrounding the 'Super Trouper' album at the end of 1980, little occurred relating to ABBA's group activities until the end of 1981…" Wrong. In January they celebrated Stig Anderson's 50th birthday with the recording of 'Hovas Vittne'; March saw the start of recording sessions for the next album, which continued through until November; and April saw the filming of the Dick Cavett Meets ABBA television special.

continuing: "Agnetha released a compilation album of her solo work (in Swedish)…" Wrong. The album Tio år med Agnetha was released in 1979.

Continuing: "…but after the ABBA duo's eight UK Number One singles…" Wrong. By this time, ABBA of course had nine number 1 singles in the UK.

3rd paragraph: "…the album's release followed a new single, 'One Of Us'…" Wrong. In most territories (including the UK) the single was released a week or more after the album.

3rd paragraph, 2nd column: "The end of 1982 brought a double LP which was effectively ABBA's final moment of glory as an active group." Indeed. Their final performance together (discounting brief reunions in 1986 and 1999) was in December 1982, while promoting ABBA - The Singles.

3rd paragraph, second column: "…'Under Attack', which was a slightly bigger hit than 'The Day Before You Came'…" Ironically, only in the UK. In other countries, it either charted lower than the previous single, or didn't chart at all.

4th paragraph: "It was not their last hit album, but as their final recording, is clearly historic." Wrong. ABBA recorded six further songs between May and August 1982.

As always, no comment on the songs that weren't released on singles.
