Now for the solo careers: Stig Anderson announces ABBA’s split
This year marks the 10th anniversary of pop group ABBA’s Eurovision Song
Contest win with the song
Waterloo. The
song, as it turns out, is a prophetic one because the group’s manager, Stig
Andersson, admits that this is also the year when the group will finally split.
“As ABBA grew together spontaneously they are now growing apart in the same sort
of way,” he says. Mind you, the group has an estimated fortune of $80 million. Transcribed for ABBA World
